Justin and I bought Bo from some friends in Princeton Illiniois, we had owned a couple of their horses in the past and I really fell in love with that bloodline. We had intended to use this big boy as a stallion prospect, but he was way too much horse for me!!! He thought he was a big bad stud as a yearling, and I was just having to work him too hard to keep his attention on his manners, I felt it was going to be him or me in the end, so thus we decided to castrate him and I will tell you, the next day he was a different horse! We're devoloping quite a partnership. He still has a long way to go before I'd consider him broke, but we've been on several trail rides and he's doing great, he's the kind of horse that is loyal to that one person, I don't mind that, he knows he's mine and I belong to him. I look forward to several years and many miles with him. He's a big horse, has a commanding presence to him, and such a intelligent mind, alittle high strung if not worked regularly, but I really don't mind that eather. Theres simply nothing like having a one on one relationship with a horse that you've spent alot of time with. this is my partner.  Bo has some points in Most colorful, with very limited showing as a two year old.

Banner was purchased from a Breeder in Tennessee, he came from the breeding program of Buddy Davidson and Standing Stones Farm, I have bought many horses from this breeder over the years and they are always super minded, very athletic horses. Banner is Justin's ride till his Colt is old enough, he's always been a good boy and takes care of his rider. Banner lost sight in one eye a couple years back but he continues to be safe and dependable on the trail. His pedigree if full of champions, he's a grandson of Mighty Sheik, and is linebred Bright eyes Brother breeding. We also have a new broodmare that is fulls sister to this boy and look forward to the classy babies she will give us in the future, when crossed on Max and Rain. Meanwhile Banner will have a forever home on this farm. He's a joy to ride and a joy to own, He'll be 15 this year, can't believe it, I've owned this boy since he was four months old!

We just purchased this colt from Jim Ferris of Ferris appaloosas,We were so happy to get this colt! Justin needed a gelding to call his very own. Of all the horses on this farm, justin had never had the joy of raising a baby as his. he was particular about what he wanted, and he wanted loud!! This colt was exactly what we had been seeking, and he's so laid back and quite a silly character, he climbs his door just Like Bo, LOVES the girls! Backs up to his ball in his stall and bumps it with his butt, Picks the alfalfa out of his hay and leaves the rest in the floor. Poops on the stall wall, go figure on that one! He must back up to it when he has to go! But I know, that with all the handling that he'll get here, that he will be a wonderful gelding for justin. He's going to do all the work with him himself, from start to finish. I think thats important to form a bond between the two. I'm afraid the attention my loud colored horse gets when we ride is going to fade beside this boy and Justin one of these days, DC has been started under saddle and is doing just great, he's so naturally laid back and nothing rattles him. perfect partner for my husband.
